BILL BULLOCH , “the Green Man”

… shamanic work in people’s yards.  Devas, nature spirits.
Findhorn book quote:  “… new vision … expanding consciousness … open your eyes and experience freedom of joy. … may be hazardous to your paradigm.”
I started in conventional landscaping 7 years ago.  Got awards.  Customers in the tantra community told me after I left their yards the yard “glowed”.  … I came upon Findhorn.  A group of 3 people went to Findhorn Scotland to start a commune.  Hostile area horticulturally.  Sandy soil.  Started a garden after losing their jobs.  Asked the nature spirits …   got 40 lb cabbages, roses in the snow.  Miraculous things.
Active relationship with Nature.  I was doing it unconsciously; have become more and more conscious.  Co-creative stewardship of the land.  Or, “going beyond organic”.  Conventional landscaping is domination, adversarial …  then organic … then “thrivability”, about abundance.  About living in outrageous ecstatic prosperity.  Nature is ready to communicate how.
Heart sutra, Buddha: Emptiness is form, form is emptiness: so go beyond, go way way beyond all form, all dogma, all structure to pure flow.

Michelle Small Wright Perelandra, Behaving as if God and all  life mattered.  She carried the Findhorn stuff way beyond.  Devas carry the DNA plants.  She uses kinesiology.  David Hawkins PhD Power and Truth researched kinesiology.

When I can’t identify which hydrangea it is, I ask the plant itself, because I need to know how to prune, etc.  Or I may ask the deva of a particular yard whether it needs fertilizer etc.  This stuff didn’t seem sound to me until a customer at the penthouse who wanted lilacs in some concrete planters.  I found some drought and cold tolerant lilacs for her…  I checked with muscle testing. Followed the advice. Later found that that variety didn’t like the conditions I put them in.  I was afraid the plants would die.  And yet the lilacs bloomed great, the customer was delighted.  So it works.
Nature spirits are crying out to us to be back in communication with us and to work with us.  We see food that has  no taste, no nutrition; landscaping with no heart.  So we need.  Without a daily sense of wonder and awe, it isn’t “living”.  If I can help someone find that in their yard, connection to the numinous … then I am fulfilled.  My bliss work.  Jos. Campbell.
So if this sparks some interest in  you, evokes magic and excitement, then pursue it.  I will be doing workshops later.
    Contact: bill.thegreenman@yahoo.com    513 207 4492

Stories:  “what’s going on here?”  Friends the Asimus are clients.  Their yard.  2 years.  They started saying “Something is going on.”  Randall went back there and noticed something… like enchanted.  Hard to describe.  I wanted to be there.
Celestine Prophecy, third insight, “Everything is energy”, open an energy exchange with plants.  Seeing beauty raises your energy level.  When you honor and see a plant, it reacts.
(before and after?) Before , it was lovely, like a park, visually delightful, a little overgrown.  When I left it was trimmed and neat but there was also an added element.  Like the difference between conventional TV and HD television.  An intangible feeling of goodness and wellbeing.
I was saying to the plants, “I love you”, and thanking them for their presence.  That raises my frequency, gives me joy, raises their frequency in turn.  a  dialogue.  I have been practicing this every since reading Celestine Prophecy I have been talking to plants, thanking them, enjoying them.

Ginger what troubles me about Findhorn… lived in England in 60’s, 70’s… I can accept energy in plants.  But talking about gnomes, elves, sprites, devas seems ridiculous.  There tends to be a move away from those in recent years, but …j
Bill my opinion is that these are just for us.  I have worked as a hypnotherapist also; you can personify aspects of energy and make them more concrete.  Personally I like the Tao or the grand ultimate mystery.  Most people like to have an anthropomorphic image of a god or a spirit.
Ginger:  There was a time when a flood meant “the river god is angry” but eventually we came to understand weather and storms.
Steve two stories.  The Nobel prize winner in biology, Barbara McClintock, who figured out the genetic structure of colored Indian corn.  She worked by communing with the corn.  Biography of her, a wonderful book.
Also, those who work with native American peoples know they have an intimate partnership with the land.  If you don’t bless the land, and go into it,  you endanger your life.  I have had experiences to affirm that idea.  … sharing with love.   Our science knows nothing of this …
Bill  … if  you rely on  intuition, on the old ways, it is hard to replicate…  If you rely entirely on Western science …  but if  you put the two together you  have abundance.  Use intuition, and science.
It is like pulling the male and female energies together, analytical and intuitive …
Steve the native American thing is  not to ask to encounter the nature energy but just to be with your own truth.  … a conference with Ojibwa and other peoples; a woman who lived in the woods.  She learned how to live as part of a tree.  Was revered by the  people of thunder Bay.
Mira Diane Rehm talked of listening well.  I am struck by your manner of meeting the challenges here at the table, it is lovely.  Is there a difference between earth planted plants and plants in pots?
Bill I use kinesthetic; I don’t see energies or hear stuff from plants.  I do get impression that a plant in a pot feels disconnected.  People here tonight are alive and vital, but a l ot of people in airports seem disconnected.
Mira zoos today try to reproduce original habitats.   I have plants in my building… sometimes I forget to talk with the plants and I feel guilty for that.  I will try to appreciate what you say.  We have had so much anger and violence on earth; I am ready for a change… this seems another approach.
Bill thank you.  Guru visits NYC, after lecture walks down street, wants to buy hot dog.  “Make me one with everything.”  … “Where’s my change?”  “The change comes from within.”  If  you want changes in the world, be the change you want to see.  Michael Rhodes in Australia, transplanting pine tree.  Talked to it.  It thrived in the pot… the plant said, “You loved me.  We can live on love and overcome physical limitations.”
Daniel what is and isn’t science.  That  something disagrees with my paradigm isn’t about science.  Science is about replicable, controllable, observable.  When science replaces religion it becomes another religion and that is trouble.  There are inherent limitations of science.  … there should be no conflict between evolutionists and creationists as long as each has data …  Scientists should believe they don’t know the answers …
Shari Plants in pots.  All my growing is in  pots at my apt.  I love them, talk to them.  I am amazed at how well they do.
Gerry Bill can you get a plant that requires sun to grow in the shade?
Bill Generally no, you have to honor the plant’s requirements.  You can go along way with love and intuition but you can’t completely change the nature of the plant.  Michelle S Wright, at Perelandra … she tests out phenomena. Like had  problems with cabbage worms devouring her cabbages, and asked nature spirits what to do.  They said, “negotiate”.  She went and told them she needed the cabbages.  She offered them the last two cabbages in each row.  Sure enough, they all migrated to those, and left the whole rest.  … I haven’t had that kind of success; I have asked the deer, the ground hog to leave my plants alone and had no success.  Have had interesting conversations with deer in my yard, though.
Ginger  I like about science and fundamentalism; will always be a conflict since fundamentalism is not changeable where as science is.  I am an artist; have become increasingly left brain from my original bent.  Albert Einstein would visualize “places” and find a way to describe them mathematically … The benzene ring discoverer, Nobel prize winner; had dreams of a snake biting its own tail; became obsessive.  Finally he saw how that worked in the model of the benzene ring molecular structure.  … I also curate art, and that is a lot like gardening;  I try to create dialogue among pieces in an exhibition. However, I don’t imagine that there are devas in each art piece.  The conversation happens in my own head.
I am not putting down the core of your message.  I do have a problem with the ancient anthropomorphic forms like gnomes etc.

DIANE REHM at Plum St. Temple

Mira I had phoned into her show once.  Meant a l ot to me.  I told her.  I had spoken about our society glorifying young women for being pretty and young only … I had been an ugly duckling child, and then became a young woman getting attention for my looks .. confusing to me; inner worth vs. outer appearance.  Now in my older years I feel released f rom the beauty thing.  Diane told me, “I think Mira in Cinti. has discovered her inner beauty.”
She talked  a bout being willing to work hard on her marriage relationship; all worth it…
Gerry She had opinions, very definite, even though on her program she tries to be even handed.  Doesn’t like Bush!  Main message, remember “Reading is fundamental” program?  Her thesis: Listening is fundamental.  She would never go on TV because radio is magical.  You l isten.  Stimulates your imagination.  Talked of “the romance of Helen Trent”, and “Green hornet” on radio when a child.
Her father Lebanese, mother a Christian Egyptian; they were “old world”.  She didn’t go to college.  Grew up Wash. D.C.  Job for gov’t announcing pot holes on walkie talkie.
Looks young… born 1936.  Read on internet today her biog.  She is part of Amer. Dream.  Divorced from first husb.  Married lawyer John Rehm.  They have both been in therapy.
Her voice illness in ’96 .  dystonia.  Has to have vocal chords treated periodically.
Charming.  Self effacing.  Funny.  Took her own questions.
Randall:  Was asked Who she wants to interview most, said “Geo Bush and ask him how do you sleep at night?”
Thinks that disturb us, like violence, which would show up probably because we haven’t be listening.  To mitigate that, we need to listen.
Another thing I found rewarding, we were in a synagogue last night, there was tremendous crowd support for listening to the Iranians and the Syrians. That is not my idea of the usual Jewish response.  My step father was Jewish; we got a lot of Zionist literature … a very dogmatic movement.
Ginger  it wasn’t a talk sponsored by Jewish groups; they just rented the synagogue.
Gerry  there were probably many Jews there, but probably at the left end of the spectrum.  It was a very progressive audience.
Randall I want to learn more about nuances among Jewish people.
Ginger there are possibly more Christian Zionists than Jewish at this p oint.  Liberal Judaism has an old, deep home here in Cinti.

Steve no agreement on what it means to be Jewish …
Spencer at exodus, when the Pharaoh’s army was drowned we were told not to rejoice for they were also loved by God.
Marvin being at Plum St. Temple with Diane R. last night… glad that Gerry and I were married at that temple … large ecumenical gathering …

Ellen---This Campaign to Defend the Constitution is really catching on strong—as the creationist museum prepares to open. I have a full array of press events tomorrow and we are discussing matters with all major regional city newspapers as well. I have attached a couple of documents so your readers can be made aware---and as of now we have enough volunteer spokespersons from the primary educational institutions in the region. They have been wonderful.

The Department of Energy wants to turn Southern Ohio into a
nuclear waste dump.

Click to View The Video http://www.progressohio.org/page/petition/DoEpetition The federal reservation near Piketon, Ohio, has been proposed as a storage site for high-level nuclear waste, imported from other counties, other states, and other countries. These plans were developed in secret without public disclosure and with fraudulent claims of community support.

The Southern Ohio Neighbors Group (SONG) is fighting against these efforts.

Please click here  http://www.progressohio.org/page/petition/DoEpetition to see the proposed dump site and to sign a petition opposing the importation of nuclear and radioactive waste in Ohio.

ProgressOhio and the Southern Ohio Neighbors Group will deliver your signature to the Office of Nuclear Energy at the U.S. Department of Energy. Let’s tell the government we don’t want nuclear waste in our backyard!
The filing deadline is June 4 so please ACT NOW and save Southern Ohio!

Please Support Extremely Worthy Local Project

Women Writing for(a) Change is featured as the lead story in this week's
CityBeat Women's Issue. Founded by Mary Pierce Brosmer as a way to bring the words
of women and girls to the world, several classes are now also open to men.
"Restoring balance by amplifying and strengthening the voice of the conscious
feminine" is the heart of the mission of WWf(a)C.

 Having expanded greatly
since its founding in 1991, WWf(a)C moved into its fourth home last summer, having
been in Northside in two different locations and then in Madisonville.
Finally it has found a space that can accomodate several classes at the same time
and is fully accessible with ample parking.  The purchase of the building  to
respond to the need for a real "home" for the school as well as the
establishment of an endowmnet fund to assure its sustainability is the goal of the capital
campaign underway since 2005.
The response to the campaign has been amazing
but the school
still needs an additional $85,000  by June 30th to complete the
purchase of the building in Silverton at 6906 Plainfield Rd. 45236.

Please consider sending your tax deductible contribution as soon as possible
to Women Wrting for(a)Change Capital Campaign
6906 Plainfield Rd. 45236.
...if everyone who receives this
email would send a contribution, it would secure the home for this wonderful
treasure in Cincinnati. PLEASE consider supporting this wonderful cause.  Julie M.

Come on... send me names of books and stuff  you are enjoying.  ellen

Just
finished reading the trilogy His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman, a sci-fi/fantasy work with radical ideas about spirituality and religion recommended to me by one of my clients (I learn my best stuff from clients!)  The villain is none other than the angel who took the title God Almighty.  The Good Guys are the “fallen” angels.  The hero is a 12 year old girl.  I loved it.  Says the universe is made up of/by tiny particles of energy that are sentient and bear a striking resemblance to Wilhelm Reich’s orgone. Great story, good characters, many novel ideas.  I loved it.  Ellen
