Ellen and Lloyd House Loyalists:
As always, I read the deliciousness of the weekly Lloyd House offering, and noted the request of Marvin to bring Mayor Mark Mallory back to the Lloyd House Salon table. Since the last visit was Valentine's Day 2005, I feel that Monday, February 13, 2005 would be an auspicious day for such....almost like a year's anniversary......and give him 75 days under his belt as our Mayor. I will undertake that if the salon woud like me to do so.
On a similar note:
Representative Catherine Barrett started working on her Senate campaign over a year ago. During the transition of Mallory to Mayor, his Senate seat was filled by registered independent appointee Eric Kearney, even though it was widely respected that Senator Mallory's choice was Representative Barrett. I believe that Catherine can offer some insights into work in the State Legislature that we have yet to hear from other Columbus connections, has a history in the environmental movement locally as councilmember and Mayor of Forest Park, and has sponsored bills important to overall health and also, specifically to cervical cancer. She has been consistant within her constituency intergenerationally on a variety of issues.
If there is a time, and Mondays are great for any legislator, please allow me to bring Catherine for a visit. The energy of the table always separates the wheat from the chaff and allows for some great bread baking to be had.....(and I could bring Breads and butter)......not always roses, but LHS breaks down the hearts of the matter of effectively nurture the grassroots.
Let me know how I should Proceed in this matter!!!
Very Sincerely,
Jenny Edwards
From Ellen: Yes, yes, Jenny. Bring them both. Just set it up and let me know!
