| from Ellen 2/14/13 HI Fanchon - Happy Valentine's Day! And Happy Birthday T.D.F. - I think of you. Photo above, front yard of the Lloyd House... the Winter Akonite and Snow Drops have been blooming for several weeks... since mid January (look carefully in the middle of the photo,~ yellow cups, white dangles). Always such a joy! If you would like some, dig as much as you like, but from the back yard only, please. Just come with a trowel and a box. Precious earliest harbingers of spring.
- We were regaled this week by a visit from photographer / long time friend Gregory Thorp. What a treasure, old friends! Indeed, the only permanence is love.
- Today, the 14th, women all over the world are dancing in the street to end violence against women. See announcement under "Arts" and also "Democracy and Community" sections for the local venue. Come! I'll be there.
- We STILL have vacancies for housemates at the Lloyd House. I just corrected the Craig's List ads... see under Lloyd House Ads , below. Forward to friends. (please!)

"Heist: the movie" who stole the American Dream and How We Can Get It Back You can watch a trailer (new name for "preview"... when did that happen?) at This LINK I am so impressed with this documentary. About 90 minutes... I purchased the DVD for $24 and just watched it. Fantastic. Authoritative, credentialed people with solid information about Glass-Steigel Act, what led to the widening gap between us and the One Percent, why the economy busted loose in the fall of '08... the whole story. I urge you to watch the trailer, buy the DVD (or come here to watch it... call me, 513 221 1289..ellen). This is a must-see for anyone concerned about democracy. The One Percent, documentary by Jaime Johnson. This guy is the twenty something son of Johnson&Johnson billionaire family; Shows how the super rich live. Whole film can be watched free on YouTube Here. He looks to me like a spoiled, punky kid. Nowhere near the solid offering of "Heist" above. Makes you disgusted at the super rich, which I think is his point. Like the Florida family "Fan-something" making billions on government supported/price fixed cane sugar, brought islanders here to work for 3rd world wages, and when they got injured on the job and complained, fired them all and automated the operation. Now those workers are shit out of luck, living in horrible conditions, right here in the USA. | ~ LETTERS ~ FROM Martha Bonvillain: H Ellen, Always I am impressed with the energy and time that goes into the Virtual salon.
