Two Children’s Books by Andrea Cheng [Saturday 2 February @ 1-3pm]: Andrea Cheng is a local author with an array of splendid titles to her credit. Her books are smartly written, beautifully illustrated & directed to kids ranging from 1st to 12th grade. Andrea’s 2 most recent titles: Etched in Clay is a middle grade novel, a biography in verse about Dave, an enslaved potter, who inscribed his works with sayings & short poems in spite of the slave anti-literacy sentiment in South Carolina in the years leading up to the Civil War. The Year of the Book is a chapter book targeting 2nd to 6th graders that tells the story of Anna, a 4th grader, who turns to her books for company.
