Hi Everyone,

Just a reminder that Dan Kremer's Food Freedom Day is coming up this
Saturday, 9/11!  The farm is about an hour north west of Dayton.  See below and attached for all the details.  I've gone to past fall festivals at the farm and they are wonderful events for the whole family.  This year there will be movies with the theme of recovering and then keeping our freedom to eat real food.  There will be square dancing for everyone, hayrides, a petting zoo and pony rides for the children, along with a host of other fun and educational activities, not to mention the great food.  If you are interested in car pooling, please click on this link:https://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?formkey=dE80UkFyTUoxb2NGZzkyY1hCNzNWVEE6MQ

Canvass for Driehaus, Fisher, and other Dem. Candidates EVERY Saturday .  Show up at the office at 11 am.  This is the MOST effective way to help the campaign.  So important to support the President's team.  So important to elect Democrats to the leadership positions in Columbus because they will do the redistricting for the next decade!  ellen

Dems. Campaign Office Open Now at Knowlton's Corner

4015 Hamilton Avenue, Northside (Knowlton's Corner)  formerly Shoetopia location.  Right at the corner of Blue Rock. (Across the st. from old Crazy Ladies' Bookstore)

After the Grand Opening last week  we hope to have regular hours from 1 PM to 9 PM, Monday through Saturday. Right now, we don't have the phones set up so we're using Scott's number 614-477-6835 as the "office number." Our biggest need right now is to get volunteers to staff the office, so we have to call lots of people to get them to come by and sign up.

Thanks for your interest,

Mary-Pat Hester

Want to do a terrific service?  Stop in the HQ at Knowlton's Corner between 1 and 8 pm, help them make calls. Fun and important.  Ellen

ALSO
We will be having phone banking here at the Lloyd House (3901 Clifton Ave. 45220) after the Salon for 45 minutes starting next week.  Come to the Salon pot luck at 5:45, or just come at 7:30 for phone banking.  Bring your cell phone.  There will be call lists and scripts. Ellen

New Phone Banking online tool for Democratic Campaign ...
Last night I left the salon early to get training in the virtual phone bank software at the Northiside campaign office (corner Blue Rock and Hamilton).
Kscott Gabbard Seeborg showed me the ropes.  This is way cool.  It means that anyone can do phone banking from anywhere if they have a phone and a computer!

Please join us every Wed night from next Wednesday Sept 16 until the election.  Bring your cell phone and your laptop, if you have them, or just come.
This is a very important election.  Don't let the noisy Tea Party people drown us out and cause us low morale.  We are the majority.  Calling is hugely powerful... Person to person is better than TV ads.
... But it is also great to  give money as well.  ellen

I am having a

blast here in my first year of teaching the Alexander Technique! Unbelievably, a full calendar since the launch of my practice in late June  2009.   This winter I was having so much demand for my lessons that I had to stop advertising and ask some well-progressing students to drop back to twice a month instead of weekly lessons.

Fantastic fee deal (limited time only):  First lesson free; second through 4th lessons only $10.  After that, only $50/lesson if you buy a package of 4 at a time, prepaid. *   The "real fee" is $78 per lesson.  I am interested in "turning on" as many people as possible to this wonderful learning.  Good for pain, for performance improvement in the arts, atheltics, ... And finally, good for personal development.  It has definite geriatric benefit as well.

You can read about my own experiences and find links to other sites here:

    Call and ma
ke an appointment or to discuss it with me.  513 221 1289.

adjust fees for anyo
ne truly wanting lessons who cannot afford even this modest fee.  Try it and see.  Ellen

Get Free Emergency Food!
FYI

Yours,
Shirley Reischman, (our fabulous homeopath)

Subject: Emergency Food / Free Food

I've been looking for a way to stockpile some food to use in case of emergency when we
don't have refrigeration or we can't get to a grocery store.  (Remember the hurricane winds and
the food we lost.)

I found Sundance Global who packages very good food with a 15+ year shelf life.  Right now, you
can get 8 meals free (with just S & H) to introduce you to their food.

I plan to stock up on these for any future emergency - a VERY good idea!

So, I just ordered some free food. Eight meals to be exact. Free.
Yes, there is $5.95 shipping. But it's hard to get one meal these
days at that price. Plus, see my P.S. below.

It's Non GMO*, has no MSG, and none of the foods has trans fats.

And it keeps for up to 15 years.  GREAT to have as an emergency stash of food.

For more info, go to http://www.sharil.mysundanceglobal.com

It's a good idea to have a small - or not so small - stash of

food for a rainy day.

Or a rain week.

Whether it be in case of a hurricane or some other cal
amity...

·
  floods
·        earthquakes
·        wildfires
·       war
·        job loss
·        electro-magnetic pulse (EMP) either from the sun or from a
terrorist nation**
It's possible that food could be more valuable than gold.

If you think it's a good idea to set aside a little food - or a

lot - this looks very good.

Go check it out... http://www.sharil.mysundanceglobal.com

The best t
o you.

Sharon

PS. For every two people you sign up between
now and 10/20/2010,

      you will ea
rn an extra 8 meals!

To find out more, go to  http://www.sharil.mysundanceglobal.com

*no genetically modified organisms

**an EMP would melt electrical systems nationwide, including

cars, gas pumps, ATM machines, refrigerators, etc. The US could

be returned to the 1700's at the speed of light. If you don't have your
own food, you and your fami
ly could starve to death.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Are there any specifications you require from the suppliers that supply ingredi
ents for Sundance Global Foods?

A: At Sundance Global we have very strict requirements in order to provide the highest quality product.
• Foods dehydrated from #1 grade fresh raw foods
• No genetically altered food
• No added MSG
• No imports from countries using illegal fertilizers and insecticides.
• No hydrogenated oil in our foods
• Shelf life of 15+ years (Best stored in a cool, dry place)
• Fo
ods packed fresh and date stamped

Q: How long is the
shelf life of Sundance Global Foods?
A: We quote shelf life in consideration of the ideal retention of nutrition, not for a safe usage limit. Properly dried and stored food generally does not "spoil" so it has an almost unlimited shelf life as far as spoilage goes. That is why we continue to set the Gold standard of the industry by recommending that for the highest nutritional value possible, its best if eaten within 15 years. At Sundance Global our greatest concern is for the nutrition, indicated by flavor, which you receive from your food whether you use it for recreation, everyday meals or in the near or di
stant future for emergencies/security.Q: What is the best temperature to store Sundance Global amazing meals?
A: As with all food, the optimum storage conditions are cool and dry (70 degrees or lower). Prolonged heat will decrease the nutritional value; therefore, we advise against storing the food in a garage or attic where the summertime temperatures are over 100 degrees. Cold
or freezing temperatures are of no concern.
Q: Many of my friends are Vegetarian and I noticed that some of the foods have the word "Beef, Chicken, or Ham" in the title. DO yo
u have Vegetarian substitutes for these meals?
A:  All supplies are vegetarian. Any reference to "Beef", "Chicken", or "Ham" in the title is textured vegetable protein (TVP) which is a high protein meat substitute (with no MSG added). We use the "Chicken, Beef, and Ham" label to represent the flavor. You can be assured no animals wer
e harmed in the making of your incredible meals.
Q: What are some of the big reasons why it is
important to build up your personal food reserves?
A: The only sure thing about the future is that there is no sure thing. Building your food reserves for your family is one of the most prudent actions you can take. No one knows what can or will affect the functioning of society or food distr
ibution. With reserved food, you eliminate the worry.
The attention of the nation is focusing more intensely, each week, on families storing quan
tities of emergency food and water in their homes. Why?
Potential disruptions in the food supply can be caused by a number of factors:
• Job Loss/Unemployment
• Economic Downturn
• Quarantines/Pandemics
• Erratic Weather – Droughts
• Earthquakes, Hurricanes and Floods
• Contamination of Food Supplies
• To Avoid
Dependency on Grocery Stores
• Transportation Disruptions
Q: I have heard people making mention of the Sund
ance Global Founder Pool. What exactly is the Founder Pool?
A: During this very exciting Pre-registration phase of Sundance Global the company has agreed to set aside 1% of company volume into a special pool referred to as the "Founders Pool." Those that join us during the FREE Pre-registration time are eligible to earn shares in this exclusive pool for life. More details will follow on the details of the Founders Pool and how to secure your Lifetime shares very soon.
Simply put the more you do the more you can secure for life!
Q: I saw on the front of the website the offer for $20 of FREE food for registering for FREE. Is there an
y other way to earn FREE food during the Pre-registration time?
A: That is true. Everyone that registers for FREE right now instantly receives a $20 product package. All they have to do is pay the nominal shipping and handling charge $5.95 and your FREE food is shipped out Priority. You also earn an additional $20 of FREE food for every 2 people you register for FREE that redeem their $20 of FREE food. For example let's say you enroll 12 people for FREE and 10 of them redeem their $20 of FREE food then you would earn an additional $200 in FREE food. More details on this incredible offer will be posted shortly. This offer and FREE food will end on 10-20-2010 so do not wait an
d cash in on as much Sundance GOLD as you can right now for FREE!
Q: How FRESH is the food?
A: We keep NO inventory on hand. All supplies from Sundance Global are packed FRESH and Date Stampe
d within weeks of shipping to assure freshness. Another Gold Standard!
Q: Does
the food contain transfats?
A: All of our products have Zero transfats.

  • Evan Bukey: remarks on recent cruise to Baltic Sea

Weekly contributor Evan Bukey: report on Baltic cruise

 Chusti-
I was fascinated by your discussion notes and thought you might be interested in this intial report of our recent Baltic cruis sent to Peter Steiner.
love and kisses,
Evan

Dear Peter,
We arrived back to Fayetteville, Africa yesterday evening from the Baltic. (My God. It's hot in the US of A!)Here are some initial impressions. Since this  was our first time in Europe with Americans and English-speaking guides, these impressions are perforce superfical. But here goes:
1) It is not true that Europe is engulfed by "new anti-Semitism," nor fallen prey to "socialism." The pariahs are Muslims (especially in Denmark) and Romanian gypsies (nearly everywhere).
2) Under Merkl's wise policy of shaving spending and RAISING taxes, Germany is well underway to economic recovery. Unemployment has now fallen to 7.5 %.  Furthermore, Germans seem less grumpy than in the past.
3) The Baltic is huge. One can better understand why Hitler kept an army in Kurland to maintain the Ostsee until February 1945 so as to develop and test his new fleet of advanced U boats.
4) We were both overwhelmed by St. Petersburg. That it was once known as beautiful did not come as a surprise, but over the past decade the city has begun  to  bloom. The streets are clean, the buildings being spruced up. There  are  great many new cars mostly Mercedes and Fords. Unlike Americans,  people appear optimistic and support the present government. This is  hardly a coincidence. Both Putin and Medvedev come from St. Petersburg. They have poured an enormous amount of money into the metropolis,  obviously seeking to restore its former glory as the cultural capital or  Russia and a window to the West. An old theme in Russian history. I could go on and on about the glories of the many palaces and cathedrals that Jim Powers and other friends have visited, but I confess to being touched by a huge, oddly tasteful monument to those who perished between 1941-45. 5)Reval/Tallin is stunning. Little sense that it ever was behind the Iron Curtain. Considerable bitterness about post-1945 Russian deportations among people born prior to 1989.
6) Riga. A bit disappointing. Enormous tension between Latvian and Russian populace. Unlike Estonia, we were told the revolution of 1989 was directed mostly against the Soviet system. But with a population of over 40 % of ethnic Russians, it's hard to build a Latvian nation.
7) Danzing. Old city beautifully restored as a Hansa metropolis. Outlying regions still a  bit down and out, in places resembling ugly strips in the USA. Countryside, in contrast, outwardly prosperous. a
great many new farm house. BTW, we saw relatively few German automobiles. Mostly French and Hyundis.
8) Visby Island. Gives one an insight into Bergman films.
9) Warnemuende - small, proseprous German resort (formerly in the GDR). Here was the only place we spoke German. People seemed more relaxed than in the past. I was stunned to see the latest issue of SPIEGEL Feature article entitled "Winston Chuchill, the Man who saved Europe."
